Distortion 2.0
Become unstoppable. Lots of bikes out there claim to be of the “go anywhere, do anything” variety, but few can back it up. The Distortion muddies the line, with the smooth pedal feel of a cross country bike and a head angle has all-mountain written all over it. Bike Magazine’s Editor’s Choice winner, this rig was made for long days, big drops, and inciting jealousy the world around.
"The Distortion is a fairly one-of-a-kind bike, really blurring the lines between categories. It combines the geometry of an all-mountain bike but features the suspension feel and pedaling abilities of a cross-country bike."

Enduro Material
Different descents call for different bikes. Designed for the 40+ minute enduro races, like Les Deux Alps Mountain of Hell, GT Enduro bikes combine the stability and steering control of race-course dedicated Gravity rigs with pedal-friendly characteristics that keep them going on all but the steepest of climbs. The Monocoque XM Metal™ fabrication process can form shapes that withstand exceptionally merciless terrain. Hydroformed tubes are reshaped to direct material where it’s needed most, allowing it to exhibit superior strength-to-weight characteristics. Plus, they look good.

Independent Drivetrain™
This suspension does its job. Period. Because it operates independently of the drivetrain, the suspension can focus solely on its intended purpose – a smoother, faster ride – without making compromises in pedaling efficiency. And because it’s an inherently simple design, it’s easy to set up, ride and maintain. Sound good? Good.

Comments about gt Distortion 2.0:
This bike is like no other bike out there, really. Its geared to pedal like a cross country bike, which it does nicely, also partly due to the i-drive suspension. There is no pedal bob at all. While climbing it is a very stiff bike that feels like a slacked out hard tail. It really was designed with some playful decents and jumps in mind. It just may be the best big hit, smooth jumping bike out there. It isn't plush, it doesn't like rocky sections or break bumps, but hit a big moto-jump, or dirt jumps, and this bike is amazing. Pumps and flies out of burms like no other bike. Its not a 5-6 inch all mountain bike, its like a 4 inch slopestlye/bmx/dirt jump bike, all in one, that pedals like a slightly heavy xc bike.
