  • Triple Triangle™

Originally developed to extend the frame life, stiffen the rear triangle and thus create a faster, more responsive ride, the Triple Triangle™ frame has transcended its role as just another tech story and become an iconic symbol of who we are and what we stand for.

  • Forged Elements

We forge every single linkage and pivot on all of our dual-suspension bikes. We also forge areas of the frame that are prone to stress or abuse, such as head tubes, bottom brackets and dropouts.

Light on grams, not on performance. These forged construction head tubes are as capable of handling marathon trail sessions as they are of chasing points on the XC pro circuit.

        Comments about gt Karakoram 1.0:

I bought a 2012 Karakoram 1.0 and have been riding the paved roads and dirt single tracks of Northwestern Lower Michigan. Overall this bike has been great and could be raced in a single track comp.
        The Pros:
This bike has been fast on single tracks where hydraulic Rock Shocks and the 29ers do good justice over the ruts and roots. It is well enough for the road where the hydraulic Lockout works great and the bike becomes very responsive. Tire tread is smaller and allows for faster smoother riding. I installed a rear rack and saddle bags that are great for a commute. The Avid hydraulic breaks stop the bike with ease. Gear #30 is fast on the down hill, and gear #1 makes up hill climbing easy. Caught some small air on a few jumps, the landing was Nice!

        The Cons: No real Complaints.
Maybe internal cable routing would be nice, but I dunno, I have never owned one. I have had no problems with it being external.

              Comments about gt Karakoram 1.0:

Use it mainly for commute and trail centres. Love the frame, saddle good, drivetrain good, fork OK but brakes lack power.
