How does Independent Drivetrain (ID) work?
All GT full suspension bikes are designed around our patented Independent Drivetrain (ID) system. ID stays active over small bumps with minimal “pedal feedback” – a loss of pedaling efficiency caused by rear suspension compression. That’s because ID isolates the movement of the bottom bracket from the front and rear triangles of the bike, keeping the distance from the seat to the bottom bracket constant.

As a result, pedal feedback is all but eliminated. The best part? When you’re pedaling at maximum efficiency, you’ll be able to ride longer and harder.
