Mike Day:

AA Pro - Saturday:          6th

AA Pro - Sunday:    6th(semi)

Mike came to the US Nationals in Bakersfield leading the year long AA Pro points and feeling pretty good about improving on his score.  As he ALWAYS does, he looked good in practice and was schooling everyone on the track.  He had a little bad luck in mains on Saturday going 6-2-8 and only managing a sixth for the day.  Mike was hoping that Sunday would go better, and it looked like it might, until his semi final.  He got squeezed out of the gate with a late start and rode most of the lap coming from behind.  Out of eight riders, he managed a sixth, but it wasn’t good enough to move on to the mains.  Bum deal Mike.  Get ‘em next time.

Eric Rupe:

Vet Pro - Saturday:    7th
Pro Cru:     5th

Vet Pro – Sunday:    DNQ
Pro Cruiser:     5th

Big Daddy looked as good this weekend, as he has all year so far.  He won his second round Vet Pro moto Saturday and even won the applause of the fans for doing so.  It’s so sweet to see an old guy out front gettin’ ‘er done.  He did do so hot in the mains as the heat 45 year old bones caught up with him, but it was respectable none the less.  He managed a legit fifth in Pro cruiser both Saturday and Sunday.  Cool.
