AA Pro - Sunday:    8th      
The last few events have really not gone Mike’s way at all.  As he usually does, he was riding really well and impressing even the best riders at the event.  Unfortunately, his racing did not go as well.  Although he was out front in several heat races during the weekend, Sunday was his one main event showing and even that didn’t go like he had hoped.  Next up is the UCI World Championships in Australia.  Look for Mike to do very well there.
 
 

Arielle Martin:
Women’s Pro - Saturday:   1st
Women’s Pro - Sunday:    1st         
The ABA track in Salt Lake City has been Arielle’s local track for many years, and this weekend she was set on showing the rest of the women’s pro class “What’s Up” ? !  She did JUST that, and MORE THAN handled the main events both Saturday and Sunday.  She was making moves in the turns that had even the top AA Pros wondering how she did that.  ;-)   Great job Arielle!

Vet Pro - Saturday:    3rd
Pro Cruiser -     5th
Vet Pro – Sunday:    3rd     
Pro Cruiser -      7th   

Simply put, this was Big Daddy’s best race weekend so far in 2009.  With the Vet Pro class getting harder and harder all the time, it’s getting that much harder and harder for older guys to finish on the podium.  Well, as good fortune would have it, Eric rode strong, fast and aggressive enough to finish on the podium both Saturday and Sunday.  Needless to say, he was stoked!
