Mike Day:

As hot as Mike Day has been lately, it was just a matter of time before things didn’t go so well and unfortunately, France was it. He was blazing fast as usual in practice AND AS USUAL, he looked like the guy to beat. As predicted, he won the time trial and was ready for yet another victory. He won his quarter final and was ready for the semis. That’s where the hot streak ended, as Mike finished a disappointing fifth overall. Even with the fifth in the semi final, Mike was able to end the year in the number five spot in the UCI SX World Standings.

Joey Bradford:

Time Trial:         14th

Elite Men:         8th (quarter final)

Joey was really excited to be in France at the SX and had high hopes of finishing on the podium. He seemed to have the track pretty dialed and felt confident heading to the time trial. He had a couple of really solid laps in the time trial and rode well enough to finish in the number fourteen position. He was still blazing fast in the motos, but in the quarter finals is where his day ended. He had a few bad luck things happen during the quarters and it was enough to keep him out of the semi finals.
