Elite Men - Saturday:  DNQ
AA Pro - Sunday:    7th      
The Rockford BMX track is probably the only track on the ABA race circuit where Mike Day has never made an AA Pro main event in his illustrious career. The front straight at Rockford is more like a drag strip with a jump or two tossed in, and drag racing on a BMX bike has not proven to be Mike’s strong suit. Well, this weekend he was determined to change that.  He did really well, all things considered.  If it had not been for a crash in turn one in Sunday’s main, we most likely would have seen him on the podium.  Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt and will be ready for the next national race in two weeks.

Elite Masters - Saturday:   4th
Vet Pro – Sunday:    DNQ     
Pro Cruiser - Sunday:    3rd   

Eric’s favorite track in 32 years of professional racing is no doubt the Rockford BMX track.  The first straight really allows him to open it up and put his fast legs to good use.  He nailed a solid fourth place on Saturday in Vet Pro and was super pumped as it is his best performance of 2009.  Sunday was another good day, as he finished on the podium in Pro Cruiser for the second straight week.
