GT News: Dew Action Sports Tour
6/22/2009
Team GT's Dave Dillewaard has been in Chicago for the first round of the Dew Action Sports Tour. Dave had a very busy first day putting in about 12 hours on his bike so it’s no surprise that he was feeling that today. Dave didn't quite get the runs he was looking for in Dirt on Thursday and he found himself just out of the qualifying spots when the day was done. The good news is Dave ended up 9th in Park for prelims so that would get him a spot in today's prelims to shoot for making the finals. Kind of confusing but that's how they funnel over a 100 riders down to 12 for the finals. After prelims Dave took a minute to give me his thoughts “I was pretty happy with my riding today. I was super tired from the riding yesterday but ended up being able to put a solid run together straight up. There were a few things I was stoked on like that big wall ride to Toboggan and that 360 Tire Tap over the subrail but it was just fun cruising around this course. I'm stoked because this weekend's finish puts me into the next round in Portland and hopefully the rest of the stops on the tour.” Dave ended up 18th for the day and he is looking forward to the next round in Portland Aug 13-16.
