Adventure in the Indian Himalayas
Hans Rey, Richie Schley and Joscha Forstreuter in dizzying altitudes
It is the long-cherished dream of any outdoor athlete to explore new terrain; to climb a new route in absolute remoteness, to run a first-descent waterfall or to ride a mountain bike trail that has never been attempted before. With that intent in mind, Hans Rey, Richie Schley, and Joscha Forstreuter travelled to the Indian Himalayas. Their goal: to reach the mysterious Roopkund Lake, a glacial lake in the Uttarakhand region, famous for hundreds of ancient human skeletons at its bottom, and to ride down a sheer endless technical downhill over 3,500 vertical meters on trails that nobody has ever ridden before. A 26-minute TV highlight show about the expedition will be aired worldwide in spring and summer 2012.
