Corben Sharrah: Elite Men - Saturday: 8th (semi)
Elite Men - Sunday: 4th
Corben had to be THE fastest rider on the track this weekend. Unfortunately for Corben and GT, being the fastest rider on the track does not always translate to winning the race. He won all of his motos both Saturday and Sunday in convincing fashion. After making the main on Saturday with a solid second place finish, (even with a poor start), they reran the race due to rider interference by the camera man, and he failed to make the main event the second time around. Sunday would be better, as he made the final and ended the day with a respectable fourth place overall. This is really good considering the Elite class had nearly sixty riders this weekend.
Eric Rupe:
Cruiser - Saturday: 1st
Class – Saturday: 8th
Cruiser - Sunday: 1st
Class – Sunday: 2nd
After a lengthy and successful pro BMX racing career, Big Daddy Rupe hung up the “Pro Spurs”, and recently has returned to racing now against guys his own age… or close to it. He went on to win the 46 - 50 cruiser class both days and took a solid second place in the 41 and over expert class on Sunday. Not bad for the 47 year old recent NBL Hall of Fame inductee.
