GT News: Four wins for Jelly Belly!
3/10/2009
Springing forward into four wins, the Jelly Belly Pro Cycling Team took first place in criterions across the country this weekend.
The first race was a collegiate criterium, the City Park Crit, in Denver, Colo. Kiel Reijnens home state. Here Reijnen took 1st place on a Saturday afternoon. The very next day he did the same thing in the same city for the ITT Metro State Bear Creek Time Trial.
South Carolina was the next state to see the Jelly Belly Team steal the show. At the Hincapie Training Series BMW Test Track in Greenville, Nick Reistad grabbed 5th while Johnny Clarke took 1st.
The last race was the Regions Bank Race Weekend in Albany, Ga., a series of races over two days, March 7th and 8th. Jelly Belly rider Matt Crane was obviously eating his Sport Beans because he not only claimed 6th place in both the criterium and road race, he got 4th in the GC and took 1st in the prologue!
Keep checking back to see where the team is headed next!
