  • Triple Triangle™

Originally developed to extend the frame life, stiffen the rear triangle and thus create a faster, more responsive ride, the Triple Triangle™ frame has transcended its role as just another tech story and become an iconic symbol of who we are and what we stand for.

  • Forged Elements

We forge every single linkage and pivot on all of our dual-suspension bikes. We also forge areas of the frame that are prone to stress or abuse, such as head tubes, bottom brackets and dropouts.

Light on grams, not on performance. These forged construction head tubes are as capable of handling marathon trail sessions as they are of chasing points on the XC pro circuit.

My first GT was in 1990, second in 2007, 3rd in 2013. These bikes are underrated. I am 225 lbs and pound on these bikes and they never break. This one is great on the beach(MAXXIS tires) and THE 29er is a beast. They feel larger and faster. I like to upgrade as I go and the stock components are great until I find parts I like. I ride in the city, trails, beach...wherever. If you like a Hardtail, this is a great bike.No other MTN bike even compares for the money.

New rider this year and I'm hooked ! Wore out my entry-level bike that I purchased in April and bought the Karakoram 2.0 to upgrade. Took it out on New Year's Day 2014 at 12:30 AM (First Ride in the First Hour of 2014). Bike performed perfectly in adverse weather conditions. Love the hydraulic disc brakes, big improvement over traditional brakes. Was already hooked on the biking experience and this bike will propel my experience to new heights !

I got this bike for a great deal of 650$ and am extremely happy that I did, It's very fast on the street yet very competitive on the trails.

I ride trails and trying new skills on some harder trails. Shifting is superb the breaks are Awesome. Still getting used to the power of the disk brakes (switched from center pull). Endowed on one trail because of the front brake. Got a little road rash but the ride was Awesome! For me the Froont brakes are a little touchy. Will get better with more riding and playing with the brake.

I'm still getting used to the size but I don't see this bike giving any trouble once I'm confident enough to start belting it around the ears.
Stiffer forks would be my only request.

I am a big guy - almost 6'2/240 lbs, and this bike handles me easily. It's never missed a shift, the hydrualic brakes are great, and in the first 100 km has yet to dissapoint in anyway.
I ussually hit the city trails and leave the wodow makers to others, but this bike performs well.
very happy with the purchase, especially having found it on sale!

For training purposes. The bicycle functions well no real issues. Handles terrain well with the 29's. hydraulic brakes are great. We will need to fine-tune the gearing on the rear derailler. A bit clumpy when shifting thru gears 4-8. This seems to be just a tuning issue The rapid fire shifter for the front derailler Seems to have a long range of movement for my thumb to move between the gears; and shorter action would be nice. other than that I very much like the bike

It handles the bumps like a breeze and even makes all the right noises when jumping or performing drop offs.

For the price range it has the best specs hands down! Rock shox forks are as smooth as silk.

I did upgrade the crankset as I abused the set that came with the bike, I also upgraded the seat as I felt the seat that came with it was a little too firm however this is just personal preference.

Besides that it is a great all rounder and a worthwhile investment!
