Comments about 2014 Force Carbon Pro:

This bike is plain fast - all around. It climbs very well for a 150mm bike, it descends with a perfect mix of nimble and stable, and on the flats it holds its speed. I'm glad GT decided to actually create a new iteration of the I-drive for this bike, instead of what other companies are doing which is throwing 650b wheels on their existing suspension designs. The suspension design shines best on square-edged bumps (which there is a lot of in Utah) and it is very pedal efficient while remaining active which no other bikes can do. The geometry is right on, best frame design of the year! It looks good, the spec is good. Reviewers were knocking the triple and the brakes, but I found the whole bike to have a great all-around build instead of an enduro-race only build that a lot of bikes in this category are spec'd with. That said the only flaws I see is I would of loved to have XT brakes (personal preference and for better handlebar fit) and maybe a slightly higher BB. The low BB helps to rail the berms, but can cause some pedal clips while mobbing in the rough stuff. Bottom line - this is the one mountain bike to own if you want something to handle the all-day epics, quick after work climb-and-bomb, and also want something to occasionally ride the bike park or race an enduro.
