Comments about 2014 Zaskar 9R Elite:

Let me begin with what GT is known for....the triple triangle frame...beauty, strength, performance. These things led me to my local GT retailer. I was sold. Only (1) issue they didn't have a small Zaskar (5'6',160lbs)they only had a medium. So they directed me to another retiler that verified they did have a small frame Zaskar. I rushed down and picked it up as they were closing. Got new tubes, pedals, shock pump, floor pump, etc. Went out riding and found another GT rider. SWEET! We exchanged looks and I noticed a HUGE difference. On my small there was no triple triangle. In fact the area I remember there being the words "triple triangle" was gone and only had nice accent paint. Frantic I scoured the GT website and found nothing on the fact that you lose the triple triangle on any small frame hardtail GT. I found others on the web who are in the SAME situation being directed that these are FAKES..which isn't true we are just not informed..by the retailer or the GT website. The lines of the triple triangle really set off the rear end of the bike as well as providing less shock to the seatpost. Now I am not confident in the strength, comfort and performance in this different looking GT. If I would have known I was going to lose the triple triangle I would have went to a different product I would not have made the purchase. Possible saving more for a full suspension bike. Now I am only 3 weeks into a large $$ mtn bike and feel like I was sold on something that was not what i received. Is this a legit, performance frame or a cheap taiwan frame with $$$$ worth of components? I've saved to make my first high $$ mtn bike purchase and I feel like I was taken....PLEASE HELP!
