Innovation

GT’s C.O.R. Philosophy guides our team to build bikes that fit the needs of the rider.
COR Philosophy

To design the best bikes, we start by thinking about you, the person who will ride it: whether you're an all-mountain rider, a trail rider, or a downhill rider, you have different needs. We believe that knowing why you ride, how you ride, what you ride and where you ride, allows us to design the best possible bike.

This is the essence of our “Centered On Rider” philosophy: we develop bikes that fit your needs and the type of riding you enjoy most. GT has a rich history of leading technological innovation and we take a modern approach to design, but our holistic approach to engineering starts with understanding the relationship between you and your bike.

GT’s C.O.R. philosophy addresses the five different facets of a complete bike that make it work on trail: Fit, Function, Tune, Spec, and Geometry. You’ll find more details on how each of our bikes differ on these core facets on gtbicycles.com in the coming year.

GT GravityGRAVITY

Whether he’s a Resort Rat or out there testing against the clock, the Gravity Rider needs a bike that can stand up to the rigors of gravity riding.

Our downhill rigs are built for the the rider who is not looking to compromise performance in any way.  A gravity rider will want to jump further and ride faster, so don’t expect him to ever back out.

GT enduroENDURO

Enduro racing has taken the mountain bike world by storm.

For these varying endurance gravity events, the GT Enduro Rider needs a special bike that has the handling of a small DH bike with the pedaling capabilities of an all-mountain bike. All that matters is the time from crossing the start line to the finish, knowing that he still has to pedal to the next stage.

GT All MountainALL-MOUNTAIN

Steep climbs, high alpine singletrack, gnarly descents, and the possibility of having to put your bike on your back is what the GT All-Mountain Rider lives for.

He needs the most versatile -- and the most fun -- mountain bike.

GT TrailTRAIL

The GT Trail Rider is out ripping singletrack – and occasionally testing his racing skills while partying his way through a 24-hour race.

GT Trail Bikes offer uncompromising ability to climb or descend at wil, so GT’s Trail Rider needs a crisp and efficient pedaling platform with a little more travel than the GT Cross-Country Racer, to create a smile while ripping downhill.

GT XCXC

GT’s XC Racer knows he’s going hard by the sound of his heart beat in his ears.

The last thing he wants to do is to take his concentration off his task of winning. Cross Country is not for the light of heart and requires dedication, great physical fitness, and the ability to ride really fast on a bike with minimal amount of travel. GT’s XC Racer has some serious skill, plus looks awesome in lycra.
