A big weekend for GT Factory Racing at the 2018 EWS Season Opener in Chile!

GTFR's Martin Maes started his 2018 Enduro World Series campaign off with a hard-fought 2nd place Lo Barnechea, Chile.
The young Belgian persevered with smart and fast riding over the two days and six stages of competition. Martin would battle his way over 5600 meters (18,000 feet) of descending where many suffered mechanical failures.
The team's newest member Noga Korem started out her week in Chile with a tumble, which turned into a cracked rib. The tough little Israeli was a warrior, mustered up the drive to complete the grueling race in 7th place overall in the Women's division.

Wyn Masters was the absolute crowd favorite in Chile. When he wasn't spending time taking pictures with fans, signing autographs or doing interviews he was out surfing the dry and loose trails of the EWS courses. Even with a fall on Stage 5 the wheelie-man would chalk up a 16th place in the field of over 320 men!
The consistency of the GT Factory Racing Team would earn the EWS #1 Team standing in a tie with the Cube Racing Team. What a great way to start the season! We could not be happier with the team dynamic with the amazing athletes and staff. It is truly a team effort and the success of the program comes from the tremendous support of the team staff and the GT Bicycles crew back in office along with all of the great team partners! It is now time to pack up the bikes and trophies and make our way north for the second stop of the EWS tour in Manizales, Colombia.
