Q-What is it that you love about BMX racing?
A-The competition. There is nothing like gating up with 7 other fast woman and seeing what are you made of.
Q-What’s your favorite bike to ride that’s not a BMX?
A-I really like jumping on my brother’s Distortion and taking runs down a dual slalom course or bike park.
Q-What’s your favorite thing to do when you are not riding a bike?
A-Working out and going to the gym. I am bit of a gym rat. I also have recently started going indoor bouldering and am really
enjoying that.
Q-Who do you enjoy spending your time with and why?
A-My family…They are my best friends and so much fun to be around.
Q-What’s been your favorite race or event?
A-The USABMX Grands in Tulsa! It is always so much fun!
Q-Tell us about your worst crash.
A-When I was 15 I tried to jump the triple going into the rst turn at my local track and went straight to my shoulder and head. (Concussion and Broken Collarbone)
Q-Which riders inspire you?
A-There are so many great woman riders today, that it is hard to choose just one. I am just very grateful I get to compete and learn from all the USA Elite woman riders.
Q-How did you end up learning sign language and how are you using it now?
A-I decided to take ASL in high school after teaching a group of deaf riders in a BMX clinic. I have been hooked ever since, and as a result, I have made many new friends. It is really a great experience to be able to communicate with them and share my love of BMX and biking.
Q-What are you currently studying, and wat is your goal for after college?
A-Business Management major and Deaf studies as a minor.
Q-What’s the biggest bmx related goal you are working towards right now?
A-I have my eyes on becoming one of the top Elite BMX woman in the USA and someday competing in the Olympics.
