Race Report: EWS #1 Corral, Valdivia, Chile March 26-27. A Hidden Paradise. All Photos by Sven Martin.
The First EWS of the season would kick off in Valdivia, Chile. Beautiful sights and an incredible track. Martin, Anneke and Rachel were in attendance with Wyn out with a wrist injury.
Rachel would fall victim to a sprained wrist in practice. Shortly after finishing stage 1 on race day, she made the call to rest up for the next round in Argentina. Get better soon Rachel!
Anneke & Martin stoked to kick off the 2016 season in Valdivia.
Anneke looking strong after a win at Crankworx Rotorua Enduro. Unfortunately, a crash on stage two would set her back. She would finish in 2nd place behind Cecile Ravanel after day one.

Riding like this would set Martin apart in Stage 4, allowing him to take the top spot in the stage.
6 gruelling stages later, Anneke would finish in 2nd place behind Cecile Ravanel. "Awesome race, excited to kick off the season with a second place finish. Long challenging days on the bike with great tracks and long transfers! Great people here in Chile!" - Anneke
Martin would finish in 2nd place behind American, Richie Rude. "A true enduro, with really good stages. Very happy with the weekend and with how the new team is coming along! Looking forward to Argentina and the rest of the season!" - Martin

What a kick off for the 2016 Season! The Team has been killing it all weekend! I'm very excited about how the new crew is working together! Both Anneke and Martin have been riding so strong all week and with huge smiles on their faces! Bummer to see Rachel with her wrist injury. We definitely missed Wyn out here, but we'll be seeing him very soon. Thanks to Tom and Ange for their support all week! - Mark Maurissen, Team Manager.
See you in Argentina~!
